If Chaz can start knocking down that mid range jumper consistently, we'll be hard to beat because he can get that shot just about any time he wants it.

But I still say we need Igor in a bad way to take another step. He rebounds extremely well and plays fairly solid defense, but I'd like to see him start scoring more by taking it to the rim. Z and Gainey can be pretty consistent scorers in addition to Chaz but really need one more to put us over the top against the top teams In the leauge.

Gainey seems to have great offensive nights when it's needed. He could be a real X factor down the road when it's one and done and we need a spark offensively

I'm just glad Z is starting to get his stroke back.
The only thing that worries me about this team now is more injuries, with all we've been hit with so far. Really really sucks we lost Estrella. Feel like he was poised for solid season.

No worries, Lefteye. I could tell and I get what you mean about some people enjoying being the "complaining realist" type of fan. Just be consistent and logical if that's the way they choose to fan. This team becomes a true F4 caliber team if guys develop confidence, get into a rhythm of everyone expecting to contribute and Lanier is one of multiple weapons that can and do go off for 10-20 per night with his high end scoring nights being close to 30.

We have a team with possibly the best pur PG in the country, 2 very talented scoring guards and Mashack who is capable, two legit sized stretch 4's in Igor/Dubar and a true 5 in Felix with Cade as an undersized but strong, explosively athletic backup with a constant motor. Our most well rounded offensive team can also rebound and play defense as well as any of our best defensive teams. This is our best chance ever to make it to a F4, IMO.

We've had some real talent over the years. Can you imagine how much better we could have been if we had Barnes in the late 1990s? With the same players? We were up by 7 with 4 min to play and let UNC come back and win. It was an advance to the EE

Those late 90's and early 2000's teams especially would have been lethal with Barnes coaching them. I sometimes think about what Barnes would have done with Pearl's better teams. I think Bruce got the most possible out of them and most of his teams wouldn't be the type to buy in to Barnes style of coaching but the earliest Bruce teams and the one that had Tobias could have done some real damage with more accountability. All of Cuonzo's teams would have really benefitted from being coached by Barnes.

I see it. Very similar motion and release point. The similarities would be easier to notice if they didn't have completely different body frames and more similar styles of play.....but good call.

We just don’t have the toughness to win much on the road. Not enough heart and competitiveness.
