100%I think it shows that we are living rent-free in his head. He knows that Tennessee-rising is bad for the future.
OK. Those are bad things. When has he done them? I'm not denying that he has. I've seen the accusations. I've just never seen anyone point to actual proof... and occurrence when he did it.Boasting, making an open show of religion and looking down on the less fortunate, borders on the Pharisee type of tendecies.
I don't think he should have gone off on the caller. That was wrong. That wasn't a good testimony. That was someone feeling the stress of losing for the first time since he became coach at Clemson really.Finebaum has been attacking Dabo for over a year, but Dabo is too afraid to stand up to him, and yet he doesnt care to go off on an average Joe.
No excuses. A lot of people fail when under intense stress and scrutiny. He did.I hope this event was staged, because hopefully this is not how he really is. My problem with it all being staged, is why make the caller a vet?
It flies in the face of support our troops.
We have all said things that would have been better not to be said and soon regret it afterwards. He has since doubled and tripled down on insulting the guy after the phone call.I don't think he should have gone off on the caller. That was wrong. That wasn't a good testimony. NEVER feed Finebaum. NEVER.

Don't disagree with you on that one. It is the generalization earlier in your post that I'd like to see some evidence for. I'm not claiming there isn't some. I've just seen people post that kind of statement often but never back it up.We have all said things that would have been better not to be said and soon regret it afterwards. He claims to have built the Clemson football program in the likeness an image of God. If no man has seen God, how can you build anything in his likeness and image, unless you fancied yourself a god?Don't disagree with you on that one. Clemson has been on the slow downturn a few years now. I said it a few years ago and got ripped for it, they will still probably win more than they lose but they aren’t the dominant top 5 program year in and year out anymore. And things aren’t getting any easier for them either. GBOStill strange to see how TN fans are mocking Dabo and since he is having one bad season in a decade he is all o a sudden washed up and overrated.
He didn’t dump on us last year either, we just have some fans that have to be offended by the slightest little thing. He was making a point about not being in a league title game, which we weren’t. It wasn’t a lie.Really misleading thread title, @EverythingOrange . He didn't dump on the Vols at all. Here is every single word he said about us in that 5-minute rant:
That was it.
His point was, fans should appreciate the sustained success Clemson has had, that it could be far worse, and the Vols' Dark Ages are an example.
That's not an insult. Every word he said about the Vols was true. It had been about 20 years since our previous 11-win season (2001). And we did beat Clemson in the Orange Bowl (heh).
No need to make stuff up in order to manufacture drama. There's enough in the world already.
Big nothing burger here.
Go Vols!
To answer this intelligently, I would have to know more about your personal beliefs concerning Christianity and your familiarity with biblical teachings. He claims to have built the Clemson football program in the likeness an image of God. If no man has seen God, how can you build anything in his likeness and image, unless you fancied yourself a god?
The NT is full of verses that speak to the transforming work of God in the lives of Christians. Relevant to that particular verse: For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the ...
Besides attacking a veteran on live radio, the sin of pride, nearly proclaming himself to be a God, he took a jab at the Vols, which makes him very wrong.
After his stab at TN, I hope no real fans of the Vols will be on here defending him.
Think about every program/head coach from coast to coast can have a "Dabo" moment. Lotta truth spoken and I give him credit for doing so. However, unless he rallies his team, he might be gone by beginning of the next Fall campaign. Donors/Alum/BOTs don't want the truthhe isn't wrong. in fact his speech got me thinking about our fickle fanbase. his spill about "appreciative" fans vs "critical" fans. after the darkness of clausen's offense under phil, to kiffin leaving in the middle of the night, dooley, jones, and the payments made in mcdonalds bags, i am very appreciative of the current regime. go vols
Some of what he said was the truth, but he got all over emotional with some random caller and acted like a privileged bitchThink about every program/head coach from coast to coast can have a "Dabo" moment. Not a Dabo fan at all but, still gonna give him a pass if I were a Clemson fan as he has brought tremendous success to Clemson over the past dozen years or so. Bet they win this weekend, whomever they play, as bet this little pep talk motivates his players. Some of what he said was the truth, but he got all over emotional with some random caller and acted like a privileged bitch
