Which leads some sensible fans to wonder why we can't get a mobile QB in the game. The only answer I can come up with is that the freshmen just can't run the offense yet. There's no way they have a lesser arm.
I've said this in other threads I liken this season to 2010. Like 2010 we'll get our clocks cleaned by UGA and have our first glimpse of Ferg who even if mistake prone will breathe new life into the offense. After the meltdown at the end of the game plus the picks today I doubt Worley has many friends in the locker room.
If Worley even sniffs pressure he's worm burning it or worse.
Bull$#!% is right.
Where am I spinning anything?
You're spinning by saying that I said that coaching is the only reason the team is where it is right now. Where did I ever say that?
What I am saying is that the coaches should be held accountable. And I say this in response to all of the "You have to give them until 2016 to show progress!" and "If you're upset with today's performance you're crazy!" statements that are filling the board.
This should be required reading before starting a new thread. See how easy this is? We figured it out.
I'm sure I'll take heat for this, but it almost seems like he's a little afraid to step into his throws and take a hit. I see him do it some, but it also seems like he throws off his back foot a lot, at least he did early on. I'm not sure if he did today or not It until I watch the replay.
Honestly I don't see how starting Dobbs would be any worse than Worley and from the highlights I have watched of Dobbs he comes from a read option offense so he already understands it to an extent.
Because word from former players and media that are close to the program see Fergie as the front-runner. Since I have no access to practice, I have to take their word.
Why does everyone want Ferg when Dobbs is the dual threat that fits the read option the best?
Except that it isn't true. You could possibly say that the personnel have not been integrated into his system yet... but he's recruiting basically the same kind of players he has. All of the QB's including the 2 he signed plus Peterman who he recruited at Cincy are pro-style QB's. While you might could say one is more mobile than another... none are going to make you think of Cam Newton.
There are issues. Some of them are player development. Some are scheme. Some are playcalling. Some are depth. Some are experience. And a few are talent.
It is JONES' responsibility to pull all of that together. All these threads and comments about one player or group or another "sucking" are flat out ignorant. The ironclad condemnations of coaches or players are ignorant.
People are looking for negatives and MOST posters here are finding those negatives where they CHOOSE to. If they are skeptical of the staff... they find things to pick at in their performance. If they want to believe the staff is "great"... then they nitpick the players to death. If they hate Worley then they find reasons to blame him. The OL? Some blame them.
I thought the coaching in the Oregon and UF game was poor. I did not think that today. There were some things like a failure to make sufficient adjustment on D... but overall I thought it was a well planned and well called game.
There were some major mistakes but there were also some well played games by players. Worley made some mistakes but he also made some of his best throws of the year. Croom is becoming a stud and the most reliable target. Pig and North need to get MUCH better. Josh Smith made great play on his TD then dropped a critical 3rd down pass that hit him square in the chest.
You could go through every player and group and find good and bad.... but at the end of the day they won. Should have won by 3 or 4 TD's... but they won.

I keep seeing you guys whine about all the "crazy" "irrational" fans who dare to hold the coaches accountable for the performance of the team. So, I was wondering if you geniuses could tell me what other major college football programs' fans would be happy with the coaching staff after narrowly avoiding a loss to S. Alabama?
Go on, I'm really curious.
I watched it again and did not see Worley throw off of his back foot. He actually looked better the 2nd time around. If the WR's were improving as fast as he is... the passing game would begin to be a real asset.
