Its officially Nico Time

Maybe Nico can rush the passer, or stop a RB from gaining 300 yards, or run the ball when it matters.
That 300 yard back displays what Joe doesn’t, a desire to give his all for UT. Joe thinks more highly of Michigan than UT. How many times in the last 3 years have you seen Joe give a stronger effort during a game that you’d have gotten in a practice? Kid at Miami broke his arm giving his all. I understand that Joe is very well liked, and a strong team leader, but he’ll never give the effort here that we saw from Josh Dobbs

I’m not a jagoff and I have been very consistent with my stance on Milton and Nico this season. Now that the condition has been met (officially eliminated from the East), it’s time to prepare for 2024 at the QB position.

Yeah, but are we completely eliminated? What if there is a series of bus and plane crashes such that we're the only team left? Or covid part 9? Things can happen.

I’m done with Milton. He doesn’t throw the ball downfield, doesn’t throw a catchable ball. Regularly trash talks defenders as he’s trotting off the field after a 3 and out. Been in college for 6 years, can’t figure it out. Get the 24 year old out of there and let the future get some reps.
He was an experiment at best. Needless to say the experiment has failed miserably.

I called him Jarret Gauranto 2.0 on fb and got nothing but it’s not his fault comments. Dude is not it and this staff continues to trot him out there. He can’t make decisions quick enough runs scared against lbs but puts his shoulder down against dbs like he’s doing something. Overthrows and throws behind receivers consistently. When he does hit them in the hands it’s 1000mph and flies through their hands. Stares down receivers and most times only has one look. This is a repeat of cornbread staff keeping a player on the field that does not have what it takes. I’m not calling hype cornbread by any means but just tired of watching this guy qb.

Does Nico stop Shrader from gaining 300 yards?
Schrader's performance just highlighted how weak our on the field effort was today. That kid is a tough son of a gun and plays his butt off. I'd love to have a guy like wearing orange. Heck, we need several more "tough" football types on both sides of the ball.

I’m not worried about his health or risk starting vs Georgia. Especially given the strength of this line he’d be behind.
Okay, then under that premise, I agree. Fire him up, get him reps and protect. He just looks..... ummmm, not durable with how thin he is, BUT I think he's 6'6", so looking frail-ish and actually being frail are two different things.

I trust Heupel can formulate a game plan that keeps him upright as much as possible.

I would rather him get a taste of the cream of the crop SEC competition now in a meaningless year essentially than going in cold just because we wanted Joe to play out his final season. There is zero downside to Nico finishing out the final 3 games of the season.

I don’t blame JM i blame the coach that sends him out there every game . JH is like a cancer to this team he doesn’t care win or lose.
JM is a SIXTH year player that looks like a day one player. SIXTH YEAR. He will however win the football throwing contest at a high school field day tho..

Cook was constantly throwing shorter passes and a running back with 300 total yards.
Milton didn't have any run game.
More than half of Brady Cook’s passes traveled more than 10 yards in the air. Starting to wonder what game you were watching, pal.

Without Joe’s turnover it is two score game easy enough for competent offense to overcome. He had open WRs way downfield all night and threw everywhere but to them.

Now that we have been eliminated from the East, it is time to let Nico take the reins and get a 3 game start on the 2024 campaign.

It was only a matter of time. Go Vols!
I wish. I don't think Heupel will do it though. Nico needs the experience now.

You're in for a disappointment when Nico doesn't fix all of the other problems.
Agree, Nico is not going to fix all of our problems and until he produces consistently at a high level he’s nothing more than having potential.
