Don't laugh now, but I could see this guy getting traction to come to UT if TN get blown out in back-to-back weeks.

What is laughable is people thinking Heupel will get fired after the UGA game especially considering he took over a a 3 win team, a program in a total mess, hasn't completed his 3rd season and had beaten preseason expectations by a wide mark his first 2 seasons.

Just completely stupid for ANY school to do this before proven results. I’m fine with bumping up Heupel after last season, but lets now sit still for a bit and see where this goes. Nearly $80M in failure money for Jimbo. I need that kind of agent!

I would have a sneaking feeling you may see schools try to peel back on the extended contracts for huge $.

Between Jimbos bombing out and BK not doing so hot at LSU, just seems like the worm has turned a bit.

Oh well, in the end there are probably 15 schools who could even put together a mega contract if they wanted to.

I would certainly hope so. I think this insanity really got started when everybody became afraid of missing out on the next Saban after they upped him to $10M.

Jimbo will resurface and do very well at another school. I always enjoyed his press conferences. North Carolina could be a good spot for him or Arkansas. Would hate to see him at South Carolina. The man can recruit.

South Carolina is the Afghanistan of college football... no one can win there for very long. Lew Holtz, Steve Spurrier couldn't make a go of it... neither would Jimbo.
