and he just had a kid (who he recruited twice) get arrested for DUI. It's a crapshoot and some may take a few more risks than others but they all do it

WOW. I wasted countless hours last winter following this kids recruitment hoping he would end up with the VOLS. Shows you never can tell until they get on campus regardless of their star ranking.

:lolabove: Yeah, I'm sure he was suspended indefinitely and eventually kicked off the team for showing up "a tad late to practice".

I don't get why it's so hard for some on this board to understand the frustration some have over the Kiffin situation, and frustration over a player like Ambles that basically screwed with our fanbase. I'm pretty sure we're all aware of the pitfalls of our own program. As fans of this program, I think it's natural to not harp on our own problems, and to point out the issues that programs we don't like have.

I can't believe a good Christian Trogan boy like Markeith is being so unfairly harassed by the Man. I'm sure he did absolutely nothing wrong, other than show up a "tad late" for meetings. He was probably late because he was out spreading the word of the Lord.

I would think it's the opposite. I personally don't care what happens at USC even close to as much as I care about what happens at UT.

My personal hope is that Markeith ends up pumping gas at Pilot and gets robbed at pellet-gun point while eating a McD's cheeseburger during his lunch break

(last part is a joke and I hope the young man can get his head on straight and actually make something of himself)

Give me a break. Ambles didn't screw over our fanbase. He left because the coach he wanted to play for ended up at another of his top schools. If you're cheering for an eighteen year old's misfortune it's you that has the problem.

There's no evidence to indicate otherwise. It hasn't even been confirmed he was booted from the team. It's just as likely he was unhappy there and chose to leave. You'd think if anything people around here would be celebrating his change of heart.

He had rejoined the Trojans but was absent from practices last week. Kiffin declined to specify why Ambles was no longer part of the program. Ambles could not be reached for comment. And another one gets burned by believing the lie that is Lane Kiffin. Seriously, how many top recruits has this guy charmed only for them to completely flame out (Nukeese, Bryce Brown, Ambles, etc.)? You would think others would learn and stop listening to this POS.

Nuke was an idiot at UT but is tearing it up now and will be back in d-1 before too long. BB will be playing in a BCS conf next year too (and did nothing bad while at UT). Wouldn't be surprised to see Ambles make it eventually

and none of those guys were taken down by anyone but themselves
