It's really pathetic that Tennessee seems unwilling to hire a basketball coach and pay him more than the football coach. Why bother with the facilities and everything if you aren't going to take it seriously?

I understand the money is available if needed to pursue whomever we want. the philosophy seems to be "we don't want to be known as a school that tries to win at all costs". Ala Bama and Kentucky..

This makes me sick to my stomach. It also makes me want to riot. How retarded of a mind set is that. We don't want to seem like we will win at any cost so we wont spend money on big name coaches. Instead we will just sit on it until we make a small name into a big name. Oh and will throw money down the drain on women's basketball. If this is true I want the whole AD out.

That quote was in reference to the rebuilding job Martin did at Missouri State. In three seasons with Martin, Missouri State's winning % was actually lower then the 3 previous seasons. Not trying to slam the guy, its just a fact.

It's ridiculous. As soon as they got politely and immediately rebuffed by Dixon and Wright, which I'm now convinced was just for show anyways, they went straight to the C list. Take Byrd out of the equation and UT targeted the third or fourth best coach in the Valley, the fifth or sixth(being charitable) best coach in the A-10, and roughly the 10th best coach in C-USA.

I enjoy going to football games. I enjoy going to one big basketball game a year plus the SECT, and my extended family likes my season tickets for the rest of the season.

I am beginning to wonder what in hell's name I am supporting with any donation beyond the cost of those things.
