Notice of Allegations Released!

maybe they had AT&T and many of those were dropped calls and they had to call back? :p

If the cop shows you a picture of you texting while driving then asks you the same question, how do you respond?

Good point however remember that everyone on here is damning him for lying not telling a stupid lie. I wouldnt argue that it was stupid when they obviously had evidence. Just trying to point out alot of people on here are not honest about everything themselves

So, on the 14th, Pearl might have made illegal contact with a recruit (page 11)? Are you ****ing kidding me?

After reading this again, how dumb can you be?

"Pearl initially provided false and misleading information to the institution and the NCAA enforcement staff when he was shown a photograph taken of him and Craft in Pearl's home, and he denied knowledge of the location of the photograph. On that same date, Pearl initially provided false and misleading information when he denied that he knew the identity of another individual depicted in that photograph, THE WIFE OF ASSISTANT BASKETBALL COACH JASON SHAY.

Seriously, how stupid can you be?

We're also not representing a great university and making millions.

Im thinking Pearl gets suspended for the first 5 or 6 games and we might lose a couple schollys. I think well be ok with this. I think the AA will take into account the CBP has already served an 8 conference game suspension and UCONN coach only got a 3 conference game suspension with 8 major violations, lie or no lie.

When it comes to BBall TN is not UConn. I think the NCAA takes the opportunity to lower the boom on a "trailer trash" SEC school. I hope I am wrong but I think the AA looks at us the way ESPN does.

Not saying, just saying.

If thats the case, we should be hittin the AA with a "failure to execute regulations on an ethical basis" penalty. With a 25 year span of leaving us the hell alone.

Haven't you ever known anybody whose first instinct, when put on the spot, is just to try to lie his way out of trouble?

It's not really "stupid" in the sense that he probably didn't think about it at all. It was just a knee-jerk, instinctive reaction. It's a character issue, not a brains issue.

Yes, I do know someone like that. However, if it's your house, they will know. If it's your asst. coach's wife, they will know. If you are going to lie to the NCAA and take that risk, make it something worthwhile.

Please watch your step on your way down from your high horse! Let me throw a hypothetical out for you. Suppose u are traveling down I40 slightly exceding the speedlimit and ur buddy shoots u a text and u respond with a quick reply of ok. Nothing big right. Well the police officer notices u doing this and pulls u over. When he comes to the window he says u were speeding and notices ur cell in ur lap and asks the question if u were texting(knowing full well u were)? How do u respond?

Wtf...

"60% of the time, it works everytime."

So stupid it's funny.

Especially when you factor in that Pearl is the one who first introduced Shay to his wife.

If the redacted portions only pertain to current student-athletes, why not just black-out their names, instead of entire paragraphs and sections?

Or, for that matter, why would you need to black out the particular AA' bylaw itself, even if listed in reference to a redacted portion of the letter?

I don't want to start any grassy-knoll shiz, but other than to prevent anyone from discovering either a previously unknown violation, why would you do this?

My only guess is that the entire paragraph or bylaw would make it very easy to pinpoint who the person was. I wondered the same.
