Post Examples of Fox News Lies

Fox is a 24/7 infomercial for the GOP, it has nothing to do with news. Their viewers are puppies being led around on a leash down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories, fear-mongering, and propaganda. The fact that their viewers don't realize they are being conned is alarming but not surprising since this is the party of the Big Lie. Adherence to the Big Lie is now the litmus test for the entire GOP and their base.

This is hilarious given the amount of Russian propaganda the left wing ran with after the 2016 election.

You do know fox was the first station to declare trump lost and the even cut him off on election night when he started talking about fraud, right?

From the link:

"Fox News told its millions of viewers and readers that Smartmatic was founded by Hugo Chavez, that its software was designed to fix elections, and that Smartmatic conspired with others to defraud the American people and fix the 2020 U.S. election by changing, inflating, and deleting votes," the letter said.

^^^^ The disclaimer video walked back all of this BS ^^^^.

The shows which aired the disclaimer video were not selected at random. Those were the shows which had made those false allegations. I have never seen any other news network do this. Clearly, the Murdochs were concerned about their potential liability in a defamation suit, and felt the need to protect themselves by debunking those claims with a video.
Is it more honest to lie then continue to lie and defend you lies or to make false statements and then admit they were false or at least remove certainty from the comments? The networks you apparently think are "truthful" lied about Sandman and lost in court. They're on their way to doing the same with Rittenhouse.

For 2 years they spread propaganda for Dems on the Russian Collusion impeachment... which proved to be false. In fact, do you actually know what Trump and the Russians supposedly colluded to do? What specific way were they trying to "steal" the election. NO ONE that I've seen suggests that they were trying to create false votes or tamper with voting machines or bribe elections officials. The only think I've seen that comes close to explaining was a vague reference to Russian "bots" spreading false information about Hillary on social media. Which is pretty ironic considering how much liberal disinformation is spread on social media during elections.

This is my favorite thread on the first page. It’s very entertaining.

You've compared singular examples to channel wide lies. I would put a multiple year push that the scary black POTUS was actually from Africa to be much worse than an ivermectin story or the Catholic school kids. They also pushed for the next POTUS who also supported those ideas
It would be nice if Obama had actually released the documents proving he was born in Hawaii or had given a credible answer to claims by family members that he was born in Kenya.

It would have been even nicer if he had simply said that he was born to an American citizen mother and was therefore a natural born citizen of the USA.... like Cruz did.

Calling that a lie is like calling trump saying “burgers were stacked a mile high” a lie. He’s saying “they lie to you, a lot”. He followed up by showing a segment of her lying to you.

Nothing curious about it.
It’s curious for many reasons. So you don’t allow the same amount of journalistic leniency to what Maddow said? Are her statements not her opinion then, thus not mistruths?

Does the vaccine stop the virus, completely prevent infection and spread, and will it end the pandemic?

Or can we agree those are outright lies. This seems easy. You’re trying to pretend she misspoke but she said the same thing in slightly different ways about 5-6 times in the video. She was lying and promoting vaccine propaganda

Then feel free to challenge him to a debate.

Or post what he feels is propaganda for discussion. Every time I’ve accused a news anchor of lying I’ve provided the exact lie instead of vague nonsense. It’s weak and cowardly

At this point I would like all these people who are claiming Joe Rogan, Jimmy Dore or anyone they think is spreading Covid misinformation to publicly challenge them to a debate. Same goes for the people doubting anything Dr Robert Malone says. Challenge him to a debate. It's that simple.

They'll never do that - not because they believe it to be misinformation or they disagree with what they say, but because it would give further exposure to these people that exist outside of their ecosystem.

The real reason establishment media hates Joe Rogan and others isn't because they disagree with what Joe Rogan says (even though they do disagree with him) - it's because he exists and succeeds outside of the ecosystem that they control.

this link has the video clips compiled into one video of dobbs pirro , etc saying the lies they are being sued for.
Thanks for doing what the other guy wouldn't do... but nothing there establishes that they were not truthful or at worst in error. Being in error does not constitute "lying".

Defamation suits are sometimes brought not to win but to silence an accuser. The ONLY actual ruling I see so far is a Delaware judge ruled that Fox's accusations "MAY" have been incorrect and has allowed the suits to go forward.

BTW, if Dominion's systems had not had "glitches" that raised suspicions... then none of this happens. Unreliable voting systems or those that are vulnerable to hacking should not be used.

Pirro lied on March 2021 “The southern U.S. border “is now open to anyone from anywhere in the world who wishes to enter our country.” Fear mongering and blatantly not true.
Some of your criticisms have merit... though CNN et al do much worse. This one has no merit. People have poured over the border since Biden became POTUS. It will only get worse if he wins on "stay in Mexico".

I actually think we need to simplify our immigration system, eliminate the need for armies of lawyers, and let more people enter legally. My idea would be to select people from a merit based lottery system, put them through an Ellis Island type of operation, assign them a probation officer, then let them prove they will stay out of trouble and stay employed. Anyone who comes illegally or violates the terms of their probation period... would be banned for life.

That said, we cannot permit gangs and terrorists the opportunity to use these waves of illegal immigrants as cover. It is insane.

Tucker April 2021 - “Maybe (the COVID-19 vaccine) doesn't work, and they're simply not telling you that.” Another Fox News lie
By every measure they presented to us... the vaccine failed. It has not reduced infections. It has not stopped deaths. It has not prevented the spread of the virus. It has not allowed us to "go back to normal" even after reaching the threshold for % of population vaccinated.

Even now, they are perpetuating the idea that natural immunity among those recovered from Covid is inferior to the vaccines. Both reinfections and fully vaxed infections have increased over the last several weeks possibly due to Omicron. However 3.19% of those fully vaccinated since around April in MO have caught Covid. Only 1.52% of those recovered from Covid have been reinfected. The death rate for fully vaxed people is .03%. For those with natural immunity since the beginning of the pandemic... it is .01%.

Not only is acquired natural immunity superior to vaccines... it isn't close.

The vaccine trains the immune system to detect virus exposure and prevent its replication inside the body. It can stop the virus in that sense. It is not 100% efficacious but it protects most against symptomatic disease and almost all deaths. It can reduce infection, especially symptomatic and severe disease. Less symptomatic disease reduces virus transmission (spread). If everyone got vaccinated, the pandemic could’ve been curtailed and the likelihood of variants propagating throughout the population would be reduced. Her statements are overstatements for sure (her opinions?!?). Vaccine propaganda…..I think certain outlets would try to get you to think that.

Name calling now? I’ve posted so many direct examples, many with video. You don’t respond or claim it’s opinion or hyperbole. You don’t allow for the same leniency to opinions or statements you don’t agree with. That’s hypocrisy. Then you call me a coward….

Give me your best. What’s the worst lie you can find from fox, with video and I’ll gladly discuss.

do you actually know what Trump and the Russians supposedly colluded to do? What specific way were they trying to "steal" the election.
The suspicion of collusion stems from the June 9, 2016 meeting at Trump Tower between then-Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, Jared Kushner and Donald Trump Jr., with Russian operatives including Natalia Veselnitskaya. This suspicion was fed by e-mails between Rob Goldstone, who arranged the meeting, and Donald Trump Jr., who responded favorably to Goldstone's promise of dirt on Hillary Clinton. This suspicion was further fueled by lies that both Donald Trump and Trump Jr. told, concerning the purpose behind the meeting and who was in attendance. Initially, the Trumps claimed that it was just about possibly repealing the Magnitsky Act and the subsequent resumption of Americans adopting Russian children. Goldstone's e-mail exchange with Trump Jr. shows that wasn't true.

There was a reasonable suspicion that something untoward had occurred and so it was investigated. The Mueller report concluded that there was no evidence that collusion had occurred, but that doesn't change the fact that the investigation itself was justified. For the most part, the people who refer to the collusion investigation as a hoax never mention the June 9, 2016 meeting at Trump Tower... or the lies told by Trump and his eldest son.

You have to be skeptical of all news and recognize reporting biases when possible. I try to do that everyday but also recognize I often fail and fall victim to my own biases often.
By far the best comment you've made.

I watch very little broadcast "news"... simply because they make money by getting people amped up. That's how they get them addicted to watching.

IMO, Fox is more "accurate" on the whole than CNN or MSNBC. Quite a bit more. I also appreciate that they really don't try to deny their bias. CNN and the networks in particular try to pretend that they're "objective" and unbiased.... just telling the "truth".

Liberals also tend to report the news almost exclusively in the form of "narratives".... which never include all the relevant facts. I see that some in Fox but not quite as detached from inconvenient facts. I don't think their producers are morally superior... they just can't get away with as much because of the shear volume of "voices" from the other side.

All of them sensationalize events and issues when what we need is the facts... the truth in total.

Covid will someday make a great case study of narratives trampling "truth". Covid became politicized from the start. It hasn't been about the "science" since Democrats found it was an issue that could hurt Trump and Trump responded by beating his chest and stared them down. In the middle of that, you had "public health professionals" that were previously geeks that told us to get our flu shots FLUSH with power and attention. On one hand they considered themselves "responsible" which made them even more "cautious" than they would have otherwise been without the focus.

You got mask mandates which were NEVER driven by science... but politically Fauci and the politicians could claim they were "doing something"... when in truth there was pretty much nothing they could do except try to develop treatments and vaccines. Even then, Fauci et al focused more on vaccines than treatments... which probably cost thousands of lives.

Somewhere in there... you have politicians, bureaucrats, and pharmaceutical companies all with a financial stake in selling lots of new treatments and vaccines.

Then... here comes the media including FNC for the most part pushing a narrative. Some things were suppressed. Some things were ignored. Some things were emphasized. All without particular regard to effectiveness.

When this whole thing started, an employee shared a link to a company that produces bi-polar ionization air filtration. Don't worry... I hadn't heard of it either. Their target market appeared to be the airline industry as a substitute for more expensive HEPA systems. We bought them and installed them in all of our office spaces. We have a lot of open work spaces as well. We never required masks and have not had a single case of transmission at work in spite of having multiple people at work after having been infected outside.

Pretty simple concept. If you run your HVAC on continuous and filter the air through a device that kills any virus that goes through it... people don't catch the virus. So instead of the mask war and the wasted money... why not require all restaurants, offices, schools, nursing homes, etc to install similar systems? The cost was less than $500 for 6 tons of HVAC (enough to service a 4000 sq ft house with 9 foot ceilings) The "trusted public health experts" know about it. It has been a requirement for commercial airliners for decades. At one point a few months ago, only 42 transmissions had been recorded out of 2 billion airline flights since the beginning of the pandemic in spite of people sitting should to should for hours.

When things like that are ignored... it makes me suspicious. The HCQ issue and point of origin lies... pushed me across the line into distrust. I do not believe Fauci. I do not believe a word comes out of his mouth that is not motivated by his personal agenda.

Just a reminder- HCQ was mocked by the "experts" and MSM for months in spite of promising results in places like Switzerland. Trump was for it so it "must be wrong". That narrative was pushed through the election with exit polls showing Covid as a major factor against Trump. A week later... officials reversed themselves and said that HCQ was in fact a helpful treatment in some cases. Can you honestly say that timing was not politically motivated?

How can something like that NOT be part of the solution if "the science" is what drives you?

The dossier was presented to a judge as true and verified while it was KNOWN to be false. IIRC, that judge issued the permission to get access to those emails. If that's true then NO investigation based on that dossier is "justified".

As far as I know, none of what you just wrote is even illegal. If it is then everyone associated with the Steele Dossier should be in jail. It was commissioned by the HC campaign to dig up dirt on Trump. When it was complete, it was found to contain KNOWN false information and fabrications. They STILL offered it to "friendlies" in the DOJ under Obama to justify an investigation against Trump. Some of its sources were Russian if I remember correctly and the key author was not American. And that doesn't bother you?

What "crime" was Trump guilty of when he contacted Russians about potential misdeeds by HC as SoS in regard to Russia and the Ukraine? She didn't just attempt to do it to him... she did it then used political connections to turn it into an investigation.

So what is that "something untoward" you speak of? Collusion to do WHAT? Find out if Hillary cut any dirty deals? What is illegal about that?

If you want a warrant to snoop on someone you are supposed to have a suspicion of an actual crime... You can't just say, "I think this looks suspicious we want to violate this person's privacy to see if they're doing something wrong."

Go back 10 pages for multiple examples.

I’m unaware of any. I asked you to provide examples. Instead you provided links to left wing sites claiming they lied. When I make the same claims I provide links to msnbc YouTube page

That is ridiculous. The June 9, 2016 meeting at Trump Tower was arranged by an ally of the 2016 Trump campaign named Rob Goldstone.

Donald Trump Jr.'s Email Exchange With Rob Goldstone

^^^^ From the above link, this is an e-mail sent from Rob Goldstone to Donald Trump Jr. on June 3, 2016 at 10:36 am.

"Good morning

Emin just called and asked me to contact you with something very interesting.

The Crown prosecutor of Russia met with his father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father.

This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump --- helped along by Aras and Emin.

What do you think is the best way to handle this information and would you be able to speak to Emin about it directly?

I can also send this info to your father via Rhona, but it is ultra sensitive so wanted to send to you first.

Best

Rob Goldstone"

From the same link from up above, this was Donald Trump Jr.s reply just 17 minutes later. :

"Thanks Rob I appreciate that. I am on the road at the moment but perhaps I just speak to Emin first. Seems we have some time and if it's what you say I love it especially later in the summer. Could we do a call first thing next week when I am back?

Best,

Don"

The suspicion of collusion between the 2016 Trump campaign and the Russian government to spread dirt on Hillary Clinton was justified, in part, by this e-mail exchange. The fact that such a meeting DID actually take place at Trump Tower just 6 days later, justified a special counsel investigation into what - if anything - changed hands at this meeting.

What part of being offered proof that Hillary committed crimes is illegal?

That sounds like "collusion" to report a serious crime BEFORE the criminal can become POTUS and squash any possible investigation.

And precisely how does that differ from the Steele Dossier except that Clinton went through with the "collusion" and then her associates offered it to the DOJ knowing it contained false information?

Seems you should be FAR more upset at what Hillary actually did than what Trump "almost" did. What she did WAS illegal. It is illegal to falsely represent evidence to a judge to secure a warrant and to provide such evidence.
