Have you watched any ACC football the last couple of years? There was no way any team in that conference should have been Top 10 to start the season. How good was VPI suddenly supposed to have become?
Dont forget that Boise also said they'd play anybody......as long as they get paid $1million.
Lets see, pay UT-Marting $350k for a 99.9% chance of winning or $1,000,000 to BSU for a chance of the game hurting more than helping.
Because Teams like Texas, USC and Ohio State WON'T PLAY BOISE.
that is the problem.
AwesomeWhy would they? The system gives them absolutely no benefit for it. Texas can make more money by scheduling an endless series of home games against the Amarillo Institute of Calculator Repair than they could by playing Boise. Texas doesn't need the exposure; Boise needs the exposure. Why should Texas give up money and risk a loss to help Boise?

Although I don't think it will happen, the ideal situation would be BSU vs the SEC champ for the title... That would effectively put an end to the non-sense of mid-major programs playing 2 or 3 breathing opponents per year and then whining about getting left out of the NC game.
BTW, if Boise really wanted a piece... they'd be clamouring to join the Big 12 right now. They could even play in the weaker North.
you mean neutral site like V Tech and UT last year

No. That isn't the problem. Texas plays 8 Big 12 games against teams with at least as much talent as Boise as do USC and OSU. All of these big name BCS conference schools who are supposedly ducking Boise play 9+ legit opponents every year. BSU plays 2-3 and then a bunch of WAC scout teams to polish up for their bowl.
Here's what some of the SEC AD's should do and get ESPN involved. They should offer to take all four of BSU's OOC games preferrably in consecutive weeks. Then we'd see if they can play with the big boys.
No thats not what I ment:birgits_giggle: And seeing how you are a OLDER person I would think that you would know the differance....That my friend WAS a B-O-W-L -G-A-M-E.. What I am talking about is more like FL vs UGA... see the differance..During BBBBBOOOOWWWWLLL
GGGGAAAAMMMMEEEESSSS almost eveyone plays on a neutral SITE!!!!! Some people crack my up:mf_surrender::mega_shok::dunno:

dude get your panties out of a wad, been messing with everyone here who are just being hater trolls right now. Give Boise some props. Would they go undefeated in the sec heck no do they play in a weak conference yes hopefully they will go to a real conference someday.

That, sir, is an awesome idea. It will never happen, but it would be fantastic.
It would be nice if college football were organized enough to make something like, say, an SEC-Big 10 challenge happen. Can you imagine what an epic weekend that would be?
season is too short and Boise wouldn't remotely consider playing a real schedule. They get to be in this debate because they throw in a win like last night's to validate their trash schedule. They play something more akin to a BCS conference style schedule, even Big East or ACC, and they don't hang around for the BCS darling title.
