I have no doubt that bama would be favored over Penn St on a neutral field. If you guys really think Bama and Fla are better wins than Indy and PennSt then you’re hopelessly biased and no point in further discussion…that’s before mentioning one of oh st wins were on the road the other a blowout and one of ours an ot win the other by 7 after trailing late
That 11-1 record is fools gold. PSU played ONE decent team the whole year and got blown out by the same team that could only score 10 points at home to Michigan.Yes, that makes you biased, or something else, really. I mean they just got bit*slapped all over the field by 3 tds to crappy 6-6 Oklahoma but you’d bet every penny that they would beat 11-1 PennSt in happy valley, eh…a fool and his money are easily parted
Well, so does Paul Finebaum, and he’s had little regard for his alma mater over the decades. If your count holds true to the SEC, then Tennessee should host a game. If not, that’s life, that’s football.Riley, Yurachek, Williams, Sayler, Pinkel, and Rhoades all have ties to the SEC...that's 1 more than your list

If Bama can beat Georgia and beat LSU at night in Death Valley I'm quite positive they could beat PSU anywhere anytime.
We might get to find out, if the committee sneaks Bama in and Penn St loses to Oregon.Yes, that makes you biased, or something else, really. Well they wouldn’t move UP so the only options are stay the same or move down. If it was guaranteed that they wouldn’t move then they would say that they wouldn’t be punished. Since they explicitly didn’t say that, there’s really only one other option. They’ll move down, but how much will depend on how they perform (and might be none if it’s a really close game).it's hard to understand how you read that and think, "yeah...the losers drop a couple of spots automatically".
Also, let's not forget that Ohio State has plainly stated their main objective coming into the season was beating Michigan and "getting that monkey off their back". It's not like they just overlooked an inferior team. Our loss to an admittedly bad Arkansas team was on the road / early in the season / with a frosh QB.
Ohio state’s loss was a days game AT HOME to a very bad Michigan team as a 23.5 point favorite. A late season loss. And Michigan was without their best offensive player and defensive player.
Oregon / UGA losses are a wash to me.
But I fully expect UT to get a 9 seed tonight.
It’s arguable.
Indiana should be ranked right above Penn St. Both teams played nobody all year and they both lost to the same team. But Indiana lost in Columbus, home of the Michigan Wolverines and Penn St lost at home.Where do you rank Indiana?
Where he ranks them, you rank them or I rank them doesn’t matter. What DOES matter is where the CFP Committee ranks them. They had them at #10 last week and they will likely be a spot or two higher this week. So they ARE a real top 10 team in the only opinions (and rankings) that matter as far as CFP seeding goes. The fact you use Indiana as a real top 10 team in your argument tells me all I need to know about your stance.
I don't think the committee really cares about top to bottom quality. Maybe the 3 toughest opponents on each schedule and where your losses are.Bottom line is from top to bottom the sec is much better than the big 10. Once you get past the top 3-4 there is really no comparison. Tennessee has played a tougher schedule against more talent than Ohio State despite what some folks sitting in their big 10 Ivory Towers believe.

What Alabama or Georgia would or will do to them given the opportunity doesn’t matter. It’s all perception and opinion by those people in the room. And based on their opinion, Indiana and PSU are top 10 teams OSU has beaten.
