What year did you attend your first UT game?

1984: 10/13 vs. Florida.. UT lost 43-30, but I saw Joey Clinkscales make an awesome catch in the game from Tony Robinson. I was 17 and paid $2.50 for my ticket, sat in the north end zone. Went the following week and saw us defeat Bama, 28-27. I then saw us beat Memphis State in November 84' and I was at the 1984 Kentucky game, where we lost 17-12, it was like in the mid 30's for a temp that game. Great memories!

1972 LSU vs UT --Bluebonnet Bowl
I was on my honeymoon in New Orleans, and we actually watched that game on TV. We saw the Sugar Bowl in person between Penn State and Oklahoma, because we had such a good time in New Orleans the year before when U.T. beat Air Force in the Sugar.

Georgia game 1980. It was a great game to witness except for Walker bowling over Bates.

I must be getting old....I remember & was at most of these games that people have mentioned! First game was 1966 Gator Bowl. I was 8. We beat Syracuse w/Larry Czonka & Floyd Little 18-12. Dewey Warren was QB & Richmond Flowers was a WR. First game at Neyland Stadium was 1971 vs California-Santa Barbara. Have every single ticket stub of every single game Ive been to over the years. Probably about 200 games.

Yeah my first game too and became a fanatic. Reggie Cobb & Chuck Webb was Incredible that night.

That was my first game as a student at UT!

But man, If I remember correctly, we almost got beat by CSU. It was like 17-10 or something like that.

That 1966 Gator Bowl was my first UT game, as well! I was 10 then. I have lived near Orlando since I was a small child, so getting to a UT game hasn't been the easiest thing, but I have seen plenty through the years.

I remember a lot of the games mentioned here. My first game was 1979 Utah. Although, I remember the 1980 USC game much better.

I remember Paul Naumoff stopping Csonka on a goal line stand and Gary Wright kicking 2 field goals in that Gator Bowl. I had a Spanish Lab with Wright in 67 , and we went place kicking together. He suffered a torn ligament in his knee at the start of 67, and was on crutches for some time.

Karl Kremser, our first soccer style kicker took his place. Wright, Herman "Thunderfoot" Weaver and I played golf at the old Wallace Hills. I was the best golfer and worst kicker of the group.

I can't even remember that one... Now I remember the first joint I smoked back in 1970.
Brother was s doper he was selling in High School. He had a duffle bag of pot in our closet.
I found it took it off the the ditch and me and my 3 buds who were 14 smoked one for the first time... Id say 71 went to see him at UT saw a game

Kremser missed from 44 yards, just to the right. His normal hook didn't hook. U.T. had come back on Oklahoma from a 19-0 halftime deficit, and we were down 26-24, and had a possible game winning field goal. I think that the 2 teams were ranked 3 and 4, or 4 and 5 in the country. That was the 67 season.

Wright missed a 21 yarder in the driving rain at the end of the Alabama game in 1966 at Knoxville to lose 11-10. A lot of people still say that field goal was good. It went high over the right upright from the right hash. I asked Wright if it was good, and he said "I don't know. I had my head down."

2008 UT/fla. we got blown out, but I will never forget walking through the corridor to the opening in the 2nd deck and looking over the field/stadium. That panoramic view gave me chill bumps like none other. I have only missed a handful of home games since then, but I still get that feeling, especially home openers.
