Who Has Their Carry A Concealed Weapon Permit?

Just turned 21 last month. I've been going to the range a lot lately to brush up on my gun safety and aim. Will probably get a pistol and permit in the next year or so. :good!:

And remember, young folks, if you get convicted of a felony, any felony, you kiss your carry privileges goodbye, in addition to some of your freedom, etc.

I know that this is the law, but how is that constitutional?

No felonies are anywhere in my future. Trust me (while being loaded into back of police car)

If you figure that out, how about explaining it to me, please?

I think this is just another example of lawmakers making laws without any regard to what is supposed to be the preceding and overriding law of the land.

Random question, has anyone been in a situation where you have had to draw you're gun?

Ya, I was really bored waiting at the mechanic's one day, and was doodling. One of the things I drew was a sasquatch with my Ruger .357. He had a sweat band on his head.

Anyone know anything about the concealable Glocks? Saw a couple on their website last night that look pretty nice...

I've got a G29 and like it. A friend of mine has an HK USP .40 but MUCH prefers his dad's G27. Best bet is see if you have a friend with one you can shoot or go to a range that has rentals.

The 27 is sweet. Small enough to conceal but also has stopping power.

It shoots just as well as my larger/full sized pistols.

Give it time.

:eek:lol:

I hope I'm not coming across as too harsh on idiots with guns.

I believe it's everyone's constitutional right to own a gun.

However, if you're too stupid/irresponsible/lazy to properly handle a gun, you deserve whatever happens to you.

I own several guns (more for hunting not home defense, no handguns) and I have always been around them. A healthy respect for them is not bad.

Anything BUT respect for a gun is idiotic.

I do carry my P228 with a round in the chamber and it doesn't have a safety (the safety is your trigger finger), but the holster covers the entire trigger and guard, and I always practice drawing without putting my finger into the trigger guard. My finger doesn't go into the trigger guard until I am ready to fire. If I ever have to defend myself with it (and I pray the Lord I never do), I don't want to have to rack a round into the chamber first.

The police chief in the small town of Ohio I lived in carried a 1911 Colt 45 like that. One day he was showing us his fast draw and put a round through his foot.

I'll be sure and not do that (show off in front of others). Thanks!

so last night at about 2 a.m the wife and I were in our bed asleep when we heard a crash in our living room and some running. We jumped up and locked the door in our bedroom and called the police. While she was on the phone with the police I got a shotgun out and laid down behind the bed pointing a gun at the door. We told the police be sure to let us know when you guys are coming cause "if that doorknob or door moves I am shooting" good quote from last night...

Never had a successful break-in, but one Saturday I happened to look out the front door and observed a man walk up to the front door of the house across the street, and key in the alarm code. The neighbors ran a restaurant so I knew there was no one home. I called them at work, and as I suspected, no one was supposed to be at their house. I grabbed my Ruger 357 Mag and walked over and stood behind a tall hedge until the neighbor got home which was only about 5 minutes. He grabbed an iron out of some golf clubs under the carport, and started in the door. I decided for some reason to go around back where there was a patio door. I saw it was open, and almost in the same instant the intruder flushed from behind a bush and took off around the house over a fence and up the street with me on his heels. (to this day I don't remember how I got over that fense of 5ft, must have been adrenalin, but I jumped it). He started up the next driveway which is very steep, and I knew I couldn't keep up, so I pulled the 357 and yelled for him to stop I had a gun. He hesitated, so I yelled again, and was about to fire a round over his head when he stopped. Then the fool started walking up to me saying please don't shoot me. I had to scream at him to stay away, then the neighbor came running up the street yelling shoot the SOB about three times. About then I heard police cars coming up the hill, so I pocketed the gun, and walked home. The intruder was an employee of the neighbor who was fired that morning. We got a couple free meals, and this was the most expensive place in the Tri-Cities.
