Who is the worst/most over rated football coach to win a national championship?

If so, we wouldn't be looking at possibly starting 2 or 3 true freshmen on the OL this year.

2 or 3 true freshman? James is the only one that could start from what I've seen.

The bottom line on Kiffin is that at worst his time here is a wash... at best, it was a foundation for some really great teams in 2011 and 2012.

He obviously didn't get enough of them. James looks like he will start on the line for the first game. It wouldn't surprise me to see Stone starting before the year is out. We should not need true freshmen starting on the OL.

blame Fulmer for that more than Kiffin. He was terrible in OL recruiting the last couple years

Wrong. Kiffin doesn't recruit linemen.

Hey, speaking of linemen, does anybody know where Seantrel Henderson ended up signing?

I would say there are 6 SEC schools that could go into the big 10 and win a conference championship at least every 3 years. Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Florida, and Tennessee. THey don't go through the wear and tear of an SEC schedule. With some of the patsies they play, winning one or two games against a good team would be a lot easier.

That is conjecture/opinion based upon an SEC biased with no facts to prove it. Fact is;they continued to win Championships while Fulmer did not.

There have also been multiple SEC coaches winning multiple SECC since his last so it is not like anyone dominated (like Spurrier did in the 90’s).

Fulmer definitely bears some of the blame, but Kiffin knew what the depth chart looked like when he took the job. He should have tried to fill in some of the holes in the 2009 class.

He sure ain't at Tennessee. What he is doing at USC is irrelevant to the conversation. I am talking about what he did at Tennessee.

This whole forum is opinion. I would take any of those SEC schools with Ohio State's schedule to win every three years or better. Like I said, check out OSU's record against the SEC.

What about the bold is opinion? Looks like facts to me.

I would rank Fulmers National Championship over any other coach's NC that-
A. did not have play a conference championship game
B. Won with the last coaches top recruits
C. Didn't go undefeated

Yes they won in the Big 10. What would they have done int he SEC. Tressell's only BCSC came as the result of a terrible pass interferance call. Yes they have dominated the Big 10, that does not make him a great coach.
