will muschamp will be floridas next coach

My biggest question is why they picked someone with Meyer-like results for the year...totally underperformed with a stable full of top talent. You would think FL would A) get a proven HC or B) get someone who has shown they can make most of talent.

I wonder how solid of a recruiter he is. Recruiting in Texas for Texas is like taking candy from a baby. Not much to it. Of course recruiting in Florida for Florida is about the same.

IMO Jimbo Fisher is gonna be takin a lot talent from the Gators.

I think George O'leary and Skip Holtz will take a little from the gators. UCF and SFU had pretty good seasons... FSU had a good year.. and Miami unfortunately had actually intelligent players so only finished 7-5. Imagine if they lower the academic standards to Michael Irvin standards.. they will take a BUNCH of gator recruits...

Link?
because what i am reading Muschamp was the only one offered. or at least the only one interviewed.
Surely you are not that naive? I have 5 acres f ocean front property here in middle Tennessee to sell you.

Major Applewhite will be following Will Muschamp from Texas to Florida to become the next Offensive Coordinator.

Orangebloods.com's Geoff Ketchum reports that's happening.

Just confirmed with two sources that Major Applewhite is expected to follow Will Muschamp to Florida as the school's new OC.

Tux having head coaching experience isn't a "must" anymore. If you remember Bob Stoops also had no Head Coaching experience when Oklahoma decided to take a shot in the dark and hire an up and coming coach. How'd that turn out???
Big game Bob. look up where that name came from.

I freaking love it!!! No longer does this become a challenge of system VS system. Just line em up and play football!! Miss St will be the only one running a Urban Myer type offense, others will have Myer wrinkles in their offense, and none will get the man power that florida possed. Muschamp will be a great HC, and a foe to be reckoned with, but I think it levels the playing field a bit for the east.

Texas had arguably the most talent in the nation this year and they were awful. No bowl. That means their coaching wasn't good.

not sure what to really think about this, could really go either way (Bob Stoops like or Ron Zook like). One thing I do think though is that all the "freshman leaving" thread can likely be put to rest, especially the defensive players like Powell/Floyd.

wasn't he just fired at Texas?

Hmmm, not interested in the UT job, but takes the Florida job a year later. Don't like the guy already, and don't much about him.
