There are at least two NBA players on this roster. His inability to provide any of the skills you lament.
Bad for you that your argument is a dead end either way. One, the player development, skill coaching, evaluation and recruiting suck; the other, the prep and game coaching suck. Nice point.

Which team had more talent?Your only point I responded to was that BP has his most talented team ever. You are wrong. How can you watch them perform and not see the lack of basketball skills and instincts? Re your other points, I don't argue with them, except prep. BP and staff game prep as well as any. Try telling a college coach that 2 players (1 a freshman) qualify a team as the most talented ever and see how long your arguments lasts.
Relative to?
Maybe you don't know that we still have to best higher education system in the world. Those schools getting to pick the best students helps them maintain that.

Relative to what we would have if we did away with public education and completely privatized the whole system.
Which team had more talent?
Know Gottfried? Ask him about talent. I'd mention a couple others, but they dint say it on the air like he does.
The missing skills you keep mentioning: we've had one team that had any of them and our coach didnt recruit a damn one of the players.

How are the private schools better than the top flight private schools?
The problem is that we've decided that higher education is for everyone. The cardinal sin in our current society is exclusion, so we keep inviting more and more people who have no business getting a degree. Unwashed masses tend to be dilutive.

There is no need for supporting argument. Nobody is having this conversation sans the lying to the AA and attempted collusion.

I haven't argued that point. I don't know why you keep bringing it up. If we don't have players now that have those skills we agree on, how the hell is the team the most talented?
Absurd. Nobody's hiding behind jack. The guy blatantly cheated then blatantly lied about it and the cacophony started. Nobody here has ever had any problem with word mincing before. It hasn't started now.No, they wouldn't have any of this to cowardly hide behind. They would just have to hate him for personal reason despite his success with our program.

I hear people using it as a supporting argument throughout this thread and others.

We don't want a guy with an ethics charge running our program.

You have to be a lot smarter to go to Berkeley to begin with. The quality of education is no better. Just far more liberal indoctrination.
It's not your program. It's the public's program. No need, for high standards for a basketball coach of a public university. This isn't BYU. The University is corrupt, the system is corrupt, and the NCAA who is charging him is corrupt. Why should he been any different. Get over it, it's about winning.
Opinion noted and summarily ignored. Well, it wasnt that summary. I did laugh at the lengths to which you had to go to make our staff's shenanigans palatable. It's not your program.
