Alas I have but a single like to give. I will say that if crafts aren't available, a Kentucky Bourbon Ale is a solid alternative. Their Milk Stout is also nice.I haven’t had a domestic beer of any kind in over 25 years. Why? They all suck and I prefer a strong craft beer so I have no dog in this fight. However, for those of the “get over it” crowd the bud light fiasco is the single largest decline of any company in history. The bud light division is now bankrupt and InBev (a huge conglomerate) is now subsidizing the division. Stock holders will not tolerate this and it can be seen in the company’s stock which is falling. The problem with the promotion is they are wanting us to embrace mental illness which I will never do. It’s not intolerance, it’s reality.
Since Peyton came of drinking age in the 90s, he probably remembers this Bud Light.
Life was much simpler back in the day.
You will always be welcome as a fan and person as far as I am concerned. I really don’t care what you do in the bedroom, and unless you ask my opinion as a spiritual question based on a desire to understand my church‘s teaching, I will offer none. Beyond that, as long as you don’t want to discuss the details of your sexual life in front of my kids (just as I hope you wouldn’t want me discussing mine in front of yours) we are good as far as I am concerned . And I would say 95 percent of people, gay and straight would be fine with that. Live and let live. But the crazies who want to bombard me continuously with messages about their sexual leanings are making things difficult for all of us, in my humble opinion. Our culture as it stands in 2023 has made a person‘s sexuality the defining characteristic of their identity when people are so much more than who they sleep with. I don’t want to be primarily defined by my heterosexuality either. When sex of any flavor becomes the central defining question of life (be it homo or hetero or anything else), we have entered a decadent phase and are on a road to destruction. Sex is a part of life, not the center of it. And I don’t get the vibe that you as individual make it your defining characteristic either.I'm gay and proudly graduated from UTK at the top of my class 12 years ago. The Vols are also a huge part of my life, and always will be—regardless of the pain they inflict on me. But, I see stuff like this and it reminds me that I'll never be fully welcome among our fans. It's unfortunate.
A lot of posters in the PF need to see this post. The real scum live there.I'm gay and proudly graduated from UTK at the top of my class 12 years ago. So please feel welcome in my world if you wish to be there.
This has big “I don’t care if you’re white, black, purple, or green” energy to it. Don’t dismiss other people’s differences as unimportant.
We white, heterosexual, cisgender males live in a world where it’s very easy to be ourselves. People who don’t check every one of our same boxes have been alienated for decades, centuries, millennia — outwardly or inwardly.
No one’s trying to turn you gay or force you to accept something you disagree with. Any ad campaign that acknowledges “alphabet people” isn’t for you, it’s for them. It’s to say “I see you, you’re fine with our company, and you should buy our product.” Companies exist to make money, and some think that’s the way to do it. Some do it too much on the nose, and they alienate people instead of inviting new customers. We’re in an era where we’re all trying to feel it out.
Y’all know lgbtq+ isn’t contagious right? You can’t catch it by being too close.
You do realize that the whole pretentious craft beer thing went out around 2016 don’t you…
I know I’m not going to change your mind about anything, but when a man introduces me to his wife, my first instinct is not to sexualize the discourse. The anti-LGBTQ crowd has a tendency to sexualize every discussion about gay people as if we’re trying to give you the deets on the Gay Kama Sutra. You will always be welcome as a fan and person as far as I am concerned. If we remained quiet all the time, it would probably still be illegal to be gay in many states. Doing nothing isn’t an option for folks whose rights are at stake, ya know?Conversely, the LGBT crowd also won’t miraculously turn straight if they stop telling everyone that they aren’t hetero every 5 seconds.

I’m a cisgender gay man. Why are you talking to me about trans rights? We can have that discussion elsewhere, but you do realize the LGBTQ community isn’t a monolith, right? My experience is vastly different from a trans person’s experience. What rights are at stake? In my mind, I see the rights of women being trampled. They’re the ones being forced to compete against men in sports, have dudes like that swimmer walking around naked in the women’s shower room with a boner while all the actual women are forced to either put up with it or give up their sport. Women being forced to put up with men in their restrooms, young children having their genitals mutilated when they are far too young to make a life altering decision such as that, etc.
So yeah, it really isn’t surprising to see some pushback on this transgender stuff.
I have/had friends that are gay. That is not what this is about. Transgenderism is a mental disorder. Having yourself mutilated and then demanding everyone call you something you're not is delusional. DM hasn't even transitioned, per reports, so he's basically mocking women and we are to accept this? If you're gay, be you. If you have gender dysphoria, seek help.I'm gay and proudly graduated from UTK at the top of my class 12 years ago. I’ve only had the right to marry for 8 years, and Dobbs showed that could change overnight. There are adoption agencies who would deny me the right to adopt because I’m gay. Until recently I could also be legally fired for being gay in Tennessee, and again, the current SCOTUS could reinstate that awful precedent in a second. The anti-drag bill passed in Tennessee (and later struck down as unconstitutional for being overly broad and vague) shows just how much conservatives are trying to make gay people the bogeyman.
I’ve got a lot of rights at stake. Should I go on?
Gonna take a wild guess that the emphasis should be on “had.”I have/had friends that are gay. That is not what this is about. Transgenderism is a mental disorder. Sorry dude—it’s straight from the political playbook of the modern conservative. Gotta foment that rage against outsiders to keep the base motivated. Your country is being taken from you!Well, seeing as how the whole discussion revolves around the bud light/Dylan mulvaney thing I would say that’s where the transgender crap comes into play. No one is trying to make gay people a boogeyman, that’s a load of sh**. People are however pushing back on this transgender nonsense, for the reasons cited in my previous post.
