I actually agree with this. I didn't like the analogy because if the Vols are the Germans, then by default bammer and Florida, etc, are the Americans, and no way no how is that true.Serious answer: Probably better than most.
And for a man as smart as Dooley, he could have thought of 10 more appropriate analogies without comparing the Vols to the Nazi army.
You have no class. Basically, you weren't brought up right. I don't blame you. I blame whoever raised you.
No one cares what you think. gtfo
Jackson H,
Yeah maybe i need to find a new one. Just can't seem to part with Condredge, tho. Maybe I can find a new Condredge.
Or, a hottie.
Even tho I wanted him fired, he was the only one man enough to take the job that nobody else wanted with a depleted roster and a cheap administration...he is not a good coach but he is a human being..he has a family..why beat a dead horse..he is gone..did it in peace..maintained his composure and looked after the team til the end...whoever started this thread is an idiot and i cannot believe i wasted my time responding to this.
He wasn't doing charity work by taking the TN job...I'm sure he was salivating over it, and who could blame him? Just cause we couldn't pull in a gruden at the time doesn't mean that UT was a bad job by any means. It was a mess for sure, but it's not uncommon for a new coach to inherit a mess. I've never understood the logic that he deserves praise for taking a job that "no one wanted". I think that argument is flawed on every single conceivable level
He's getting 5-miiiiilion dollars for his historic failure.
I don't hold that money against Dooley, in fact, I think it was a smart business move. UT is the one that signed the contract with him with his terms.
Well, I give you permission punish me if I say a good word about Hambone and the job he did as UTAD.
Dissing dooley has been a time-honored tradition on these boards for the past year, and rightfully so. But, now that he's been fired, the dooley folks (and others) have turned to attacking anyone who says anything bad about him. I for one personally moved on the second I heard he was fired, and have maybe left 1 negavol comment since. However, you can't be so naive as to think that no one is going to harbor resentment and/or residual animosity after this past season. Some folks literally seem to be getting self-satisfaction out of hammering anyone who says anything negative about dooley since the firing. I'm not going to name names, but I would be really surprised if I'm the only one who has noticed this (i'm sure ill get resistance on that part). Yes, I think dooley was a good guy who tried his best, but obviously that doesn't mean he was a good coach.
Am I allowed to bash all the people who went off on me the past year when I said Dooley was and is a complete fool?
